Silver Jubilee Year of St. Thomas Province was inaugurated on 19 March, 2018 at St. Thomas Bhavan, Chelavoor. The theme of the Jubilee Year is “Widen the Horizon of Charity”. The solemn Mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Joby Edamuriyil CST, Provincial Superior along with Rev. Fr. Joseph Meletukochyil CST, former Provincial Superior and Rev. Fr. Joseph Chathanat, Councilor at 06.30 pm. After the Holy Mass a Public Meeting was arranged at 08.00 pm. Rev. Fr. Binu Paimpillil CST, Councilor welcomed the gathering. Very Rev. Fr. Francis Kilivallickal CST, Superior General presided over the meeting and Mr. Joshua P.J., Chief Editor, Malayala Manoram, Kozhikode inaugurated the function. As the new venture of the Province, Samaritan Pain and Palliative was started on this day. Mr. Jose Pulimoottil, Director, Pain and Palliative, Kozhikode addressed the gathering and explained the need of pain and palliative centres in the present society. Rev. Frs. James Purathail CST, General Councilor and Fr. Joby Edamuriyil CST, Provincial Superior felicitated the gathering. The chief guests of the day distributed the materials for the handicapped. Fr. Joseph Chathanat CST thanked the gathering at the end.

The culmination of Jubilee Year was convened at LISSAH College, Kaithapoyil on 16 February, 2019. The solemn mass was celebrated at 02.30 pm by His Excellency Mar Thomas Thuruthimattom CST, Bishop of Gorakhpur and Fr. Francis Kilivallickal CST, Superior General, Provincial Superiors of 4 Provinces, Fr. Saji Nellikkunnel CST, Rector, Little Flower Seminary, Aluva, Fr. Joseph Meletukochyil CST, Superior, Sanjo Bhavan, Kaithapoyil and Fr. Paul Kala (Founder and Superior General of the Missionary Congregation of St. Therese of Little Flower) were the concelebrants. Most of the Fathers of Province joined the Holy Mass. After the Holy Mass a Public Meeting was arranged. Mar Mar Remegiose Inchananiyil, Bishop of Thamarassery, Mar Joseph Pamplany, Auxiliary Bishop of Thalassery were present in the meeting. The cultural programmes were performed by our Schools and Colleges. Most of the members of our Province were present in the Jubilee celebration. We inaugurated the ‘Housing Project’ to build 25 houses during this jubilee year.
